Its not correct as published in "BAR Indian doctors from capitation fee colleges" British Medical Journal

I do not agree on the BMJ article to BAR Indian doctors from capitation fee colleges. Why blame Private Medical Colleges only? Yes the capitation fees is too high & there may be some pressure on the colleges not to fail a few candidates. But look at the condition of Government run Medical Colleges. Reservation seats for SC, ST, OBC, Girls etc. are approx. 60-70%. General Candidates who get more than 90% marks don't get admissions where as others get the same seats by getting only passing marks. Once they are admitted they can not be failed in any subjects. They have strong unions, caste wise, along with faculty members of same caste as their patrons who protect them & ensure that their caste's students do not fail. Some times such students do not even fullfill the minimum attendance criteria also. Without attending lectures they pass the exams.
Besides this, the out of turn promotion system is still worse. The most deserving & sincere teacher remains & retires as lecturer or demonstrator where as his 5-10 years junior from reserved quota is promoted to the post of HOD. In view private colleges teaching standard is high as compared to government. MCI inspection is also strict to private, where as most of the medical teachers posts are vacant in government run hospitals. Biomedical waste handling is worst in such government medical colleges,
I think all students from all medical college whether private or government should clear an equivalent test which is some thing like USMLE.
